If the tragedy wouldn’t have happened, Bode and Morgan Miller’s daughter would be three years old now. That being said, on the late Emmy’s birthday, the mother took to social media to remember her.
Yesterday, Morgan posted photos of the little girl and paid tribute to her on the day that used to be a reason for happiness.
As fans of Olympic skier Bode Miller know, his and Morgan’s little girl sadly passed away after drowning in a neighbor’s pool in June of last year.
At the time, she was just 19 months old.
One of the pics shows Emmy as a newborn, sleeping peacefully on her mother’s stomach.
Alongside the sweet snap, her mom wrote: ‘Happy birthday baby girl.’
Another image shows a little more grown-up Emmy in a cute sparkly pink dress and a matching bow.
‘Today would have been your 3rd birthday. We miss you so much,’ Morgan wrote alongside this second photo.
When Emmy lost her life, Morgan was expecting a son, who is now one year old – Easton.
Furthermore, she is pregnant again, this time with twin sons that are expected to be born later this month.
About welcoming Easton so soon after losing their daughter, Morgan wrote on Instagram that ‘Easton provided us an even closer bond to his sister. The moment that I heard his cry, something sparked alive in my soul. Hope. Love. I am not sure. But in that moment, I knew that I was Mom and that my kids deserved the world from me. Everything was going to be okay. My joy and grief could co-exist.’

She went on: ‘Now, I can say with joy and excitement that we’re expecting identical twin boys. From the day that I met my husband, he’s always said he wanted identical twin boys born on his birthday. We’re due on the lucky day and angel number of 11/11 which is not far from @millerbode Birthday of 10/12. From the very beginning of this pregnancy, we knew that Emmy had her hand in this miracle somehow.’
